Privacy Policy
Clearivo keeps personal things — your money, trips and journal. This policy explains, in plain language, what we store, why, and what control you have over it. The short version: we only collect what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we are
Clearivo (clearivo.app) is operated by Rusi Petrov, an individual based in Bulgaria, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@clearivo.app.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password itself). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and Google account ID.
- Content you enter: the stocks and share counts, subscriptions, trips, packing lists, places and journal entries you add to the tools, plus settings such as your monthly income goal and email preferences.
- Billing data: if you upgrade to Pro, payment is handled by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer and subscription reference and your plan status — never your card details.
- Technical data: our servers keep short-lived logs (such as IP address and request details) for security and troubleshooting. If an error occurs, an error report tagged with your internal user ID — not your email — may be recorded.
Why we use it (and our legal basis)
- To provide the service — storing your data, signing you in and showing your tools (performance of our contract with you).
- To process payments for Pro (performance of contract, and legal obligations such as accounting).
- To send service emails — email verification, password resets and, if you enable them, renewal alerts and weekly journal summaries (contract; optional emails can be turned off at any time).
- To keep Clearivo secure and working — rate limiting, abuse prevention and fixing errors (our legitimate interest).
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use your journal or other content to train AI models.
Your journal
Journal entries are private to your account. We don't read them except where strictly necessary to resolve a problem you ask us to help with, or where required by law. The “AI prompt” feature only builds text in your browser for you to copy — Clearivo does not send your entries to any AI provider.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run Clearivo, and only what each one needs:
- Contabo — server hosting in the EU, where your data is stored.
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
- Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in.
- Our email delivery provider — to send the emails described above.
- Sentry — error monitoring, receiving technical error details and your internal user ID.
To show dividend data we look up stock tickers from public market-data sources. These lookups contain only the ticker symbol, never information about you.
Some providers (such as Stripe, Google and Sentry) may process data outside the EU. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We may also disclose data if required by law.
Cookies
Clearivo uses only strictly necessary cookies: one that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived one (about 5 minutes) that protects the Google sign-in flow. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt into.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data and content for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your data from our live systems within 30 days; copies in backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate data;
- have your account and data deleted;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent for optional emails at any time.
You can delete your account and all its data yourself at any time under Plan & account in the app. To exercise any other right, email support@clearivo.appfrom the address linked to your account. We'll respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg) or your local data protection authority.
Security
Connections are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, sign-in cookies are HttpOnly and secure, and access to our servers is restricted. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Children
Clearivo is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we'll update the date above and notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
